Baby Hands Goes National!

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

Today is a very exciting day as Baby Hands Classes have gone national with our newest teacher, Yuki, teaching baby sign classes on the Sunshine Coast.

While we don’t have any classes in Canberra at the moment or in the Northern Territory I’m told that a company is “officially” deemed national in Australia once they cover NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and WA so for me that’s cause enough for celebration :) (more…)

Baby and Toddler Show Update

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

We had a wonderful and very busy weekend at the Sydney Baby and Toddler show meeting so many of you it was definitely one of our best shows yet so I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time to come by and say hello.

It really makes my day hearing all your stories and getting out to these shows gives me such a great opportunity to meet you and your babies.

At this weekends show I gave a talk each morning on baby sign language and how you can incorporate it into your home.

Definitely one of the funniest parts of my talk is the clip for Meet the Fockers where Grandpa Jack shows of his Grandson Jacks signing skill.

This manages to raise a smile everytime I play it :)

Plus we got some great news for the Baby and Toddler Show organisers that they are expanding into Brisbane and Perth so we’ll be along to see you in your city soon.

With a baby sign teacher in almost every state and a new one coming very soon Australian Baby Hands has grown from my very small vision over 6 years ago and a dream to help parents and babies to communicate using Auslan baby sign.

I couldn’t have done this without the help of so many good people and of course all of you so I hope to see more of you at the future shows around Australia very soon.

Baby Hands In The Daily Telegraph

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

Last week we were contacted by the Daily Telegraph who were interested in the way that Baby Sign Language has become more and more popular around Australia, particularly in Childcare Centres.

You can read the full story below and also view a copy of the short video that was shot and featured on the Daily Telegraph website;

If you are in interested in finding out more about baby sign language and how you can incorporate it into your childcare centre please contact one of our teachers on your area who can help you to introduce baby sign to your centre.
