Well here we are in the count down to Christmas and the end of another year, doesn't time fly..!!

I love Christmas and can't wait to get the tree up and decorated this weekend. I'm looking forward to a family Christmas this year as my fiance's family are coming out from England including his 3 year old nephew and 4 year old niece. It will be great to have some kids around to enjoy the excitement of Christmas with.

  • New Baby Sign Language Videos:
    After last months newsletter it was fantastic to get sent your video's of your babies signing. The story's and pictures I have been getting over the past two years have been fantastic but seeing actual video footage is just brilliant :-)

    A BIG BIG thank you to those parents that sent me their baby sign videos directly and also a huge thanks to those that posted them directly on YouTube.

    As my DVD is not set to be released until next year there is still time to get your video in to me and get in the running to win one of the 5 copies of my DVD that I will be giving away to those people that send their videos in to me.

  • Australian Multiple Births Association (AMBA) Conference:
    I was lucky enough to be asked to speak at the annual AMBA conference in Newcastle NSW 2 weeks ago. It was a wonderful chance to get to meet mothers and have a chat afterwards about their experiences with using baby sign.

    Also, there is such a difference now to the two years ago when I started Australian Baby Hands and no-one knew what baby sign was, let alone Auslan. It was fantastic to hear the great stories from mums who are so proud that their babies are using Auslan and I am very proud that Australian Baby Hands is continuing to help spread Australian Sign Language awareness.

    AMBA are a wonderful organisation and were of tremendous help to friends of mine who recently had twins, two identical boys. If you have twins or are expecting then you might like to check out their site www.amba.org.au.
