Welcome to this months newsletter.
Firstly, Happy Belated Mothers Day to all you mums out
there. I hope you had a lovely relaxing Mothers Day and
got spoilt rotten.
This month my honeymoon ended and I was straight back
into Baby Hands with the Sydney
Pregnancy, Baby & Children’s Expo. Thanks to all
of you who came by the stand, said hello and shared your
baby sign language experiences and stories. It was great
to finally put some names to the emails that I receive.
For all you Mother
& Baby magazine fans out there, we are featured
in the April/May issue, you should still be able to get
a copy from your local newsagent.

This months article came from some excellent feedback I
had from parents on using sign with more than one child
-“Sibling
Signing”. In this article we talk about using baby sign
language not just with your baby but including your older
children in the process. Read about the benefits and how
to get the whole family involved, you can also leave
your comments and feedback in our blog.
Check out all the article
listings from previous newsletters here or the latest

Your
Stories: |
| Thanks
very much to Emma Heilbronn for sending in her baby sign story
regarding her son Deacon and her daughter Lily.
"My 2-year-old son Deacon and I have been busy signing since I received
my Australian Baby Hands book. While we eat our breakfast
we practice our signing and throughout the day I will sign
words to the children as we do everyday things, like bath
and music. Deacon can now sign milk, ball, shoes, toilet,
hungry and sister. My 8 and a half-month-old daughter Lily
has also started signing back and can now sign milk."
" Deacon loves to sign to his sister
and uses a number of signs to communicate with her. Deacon
will sign to Lily ‘shoes’ when she is holding shoes, and
‘milk’ if she is breastfeeding, and the new one is ‘stop’
if Lily is doing something Deacon doesn’t like."

Baby Signing Classes: |
|
Natalie our Pine Rivers teacher has moved home and to a
new teaching location Redland
Bay. Natalie is already up and running classes in her
new area of Redland Bay, for further information please
contact Natalie.
Did you know that while our teachers
are based in a particular territory, if you live in a neighbouring
area and have a group of friends/mothers who are interested
in attending a class, our teachers
can come to you. To organise your own class, we need a minimum
of 5 attendees for the class. Contact your nearest
teacher today and organise a class for your mothers
group or group of friends.
We are currently looking
for teachers around the country.
If you are interested in running your own franchised family
friendly business and being part of Australia's largest
baby signing company, contact
us now and let us know why you would make a great Baby
Hands teacher.
