"Here is a photo of our 18 month old boy Cailen,
doing his version of the sign for 'finished'.
I have actually been using a few basic signs for the
last few months and the interesting thing is that the one
sign he has just started using now, is the main one we have
been consistant with.
It just reinforces the need to be consistent with them
all the time.
It was such an exciting moment to see him sign back
'finished' when he had finished his meal. But the real exciting
thing is when he did it after finishing his bottle at lunch
time today!
I think it must be a novelty for him at the moment
because he signs it quite often. Also if anyone says the
word 'finished' in a sentence he does the sign.
Although he has his own special way of doing it, with
his forefinger instead of thumb. It has made me dig out
the book and work on heaps more signs now. How exciting
for us all!
