Baby Hands

This month I want to do something a little bit different in the newsletter and put out a bit of a challenge for all you baby signers out there.

There are prizes to be won so check out my new "Best Baby Signing Video Challenge" contest below.

  • Baby Sign Language Videos:
    I'm always surfing the net looking for new information and ideas on baby sign language and I found some brilliant Baby Sign Language videos on YouTube.

    Among my favourites are;
    Explaining how baby sign language works and this video of a very cute signing baby.

    Baby sign has grown hugely in the US and the UK and has slowly started to rise in popularity here in Australia and there are now almost 10,000 homes around Australia using Australian Baby Hands.

    So, my challenge is to get Australian Baby Sign Language on the world stage.

    Of all the YouTube videos of signing babies there were no results for a search on Australian Baby Sign Language.

    Every month I get fantastic testimonials and pictures from parents all over Australia telling me of their experiences using Australian Baby Hands.

    The first five people to send their baby signing videos to me will get a free copy of my new baby sign language DVD which will be available shortly.

    They don't have to be as long as the examples above, they can be short clips just like this one of a baby signing more food, (using American Sign Language).

    The main idea of these videos is to capture babies using Australian Sign Language and to show how Mums, Dads and childcare workers are seeing the benefits of baby sIgn language right here in Australia.

    Send your videos to me at or if they are on disk then you can mail them to:

    Best of luck and Happy Signing
